The Ornate Hawk-Eagle is found in Central and South America; the nominate species occurs from east Colombia east through Venezuela. Prey species have included little blue herons, curassows, toucans, wood quail, pigeons, macaws, parrots, cotingas, chickens, and even a black vulture. Mammals are also significant prey, with agoutis, squirrels, rats, procyonids, and monkeys often taken. Reptiles are also occasionally hunted. While this eagle is no larger than a hawk, it can take a prey up to 5 times its own weight.

The beautiful Ornate Hawk-Eagle is found in North America from Southern Mexico, the islands of Trinidad and Tobago, throughout Central America and in South America as far as Peru and Argentina. Smaller than the Bald Eagle and Golden Eagle, never underestimate this bird's strength for size. It takes down prey up to 5 times its own weight. Beauty and power combined deserve your respect for this Eagle.
Regretfully, I couldn't customize the image as I've done in other t-shirts purchased from Zazzle. Still, I'm glad this bird is available as t-shirt design! With so many color variants in the Eagle, choosing the right t-shirt wasn't a fast decision. I think lavender serves the purpose well! I'm very pleased with the final results!

The T-shirt is great quality! The cotton is thick and does not lose its shape. I bought this as a gift last Christmas and since then it has been washed many times and I haven't seen any stretching or tears. The size fits perfectly. The printing is excellent. The colours and the design were exactly as shown in the picture. One year after, it hasn't faded due to washing.
