Ostrog Monastery Montenegro Postcard

Perched dramatically upon a sheer vertical cliff face in central Montenegro, Ostrog Monastery is one of the most remarkable and sacred sites in the Balkans. Founded in the 17th century by Saint Basil of Ostrog, whose relics are still housed within, the monastery is a significant pilgrimage destination for Orthodox Christians, though it attracts visitors of all faiths.
