Our Lady of Fatima and white roses Decorative Cushion
The first apparition of Fátima took place on May 13, 1917, in Cova da Iria, Portugal, to three little shepherds, Lúcia, Francisco, and Jacinta. Over the next six months, Our Lady of Fatima made several requests and shared secrets with the three seers. Today, there are two processions in the Sanctuary: the Procession of Candles and the Procession of Farewell. The image of Our Lady of Fátima is carried on a litter decorated with white roses. The rose, from which the word rosary derives, is preferred in decoration as it is the flower of Our Lady of Fátima, being white in the little chapel and on the litter. The litter can contain 600 or more roses that are placed there still in bud and then open slowly. The presence of this large amount of beautiful flowers on the litter inspired this illustration. The cushion is small to medium sized. It can be washed. It is well constructed. The material used is pleasant and feels decent quality. It has a very slight plush feel which is good. It is well labelled and its care clearly stated. Theres nothing not to like about it. All in all a good item. The deduction of one star overall is due to long delays in delivery to the UK. It's not clear if this was due to Zazzle or somewhere else in the chain as I did not receive status updates of dispatch or progress. I cannot comment anymore on that other than to say that was our experience but it may not be the same for you. The printing was surprisingly close to what we were expecting. Its an art piece and on material so its hard to assess the precision of printing but it seems close to the original. The soft lines are reproductions of the original. The colour is a fair reflection of the painting. This was printed in the US and it looks like US quality. No issues.
