Our Lady of Fatima Procession of Candles greeting Invitation
The faith and devotion to Our Lady of Fátima unite the Portuguese and people from all over the world. The pilgrimage takes them to the sanctuary of Fátima every year, especially between May and October. This devotion was born in 1917. It is believed that Our Lady appeared to three children who were herding the family's sheep. There were six apparitions, every 13th, from May to October 1917. Lucia, aged 10, and her cousins Francisco, 9, and Jacinta, 7, are now called the Seers. thousands of people attracted by the miracle of Fatima. I created this illustration inspired by the Procession of Candles, which takes place there in the dark of night. Even those who are not religious recognise that it is beautiful to see so many lights as a manifestation of faith. It was made thinking about those who are devoted to Our Lady of Fatima.
