While walking through a forested trail along the Willamette River, a creature swooped right in front of me so quietly & softly that I knew it wasn't any normal bird. I finally spotted the owl in the trees & admired it for a long time. What a treat to see in my own neighbourhood! Photo taken August 2019 in Wilsonville, Oregon.
