This design features a painting by the French artist Edouard Manet (1832–1883). It is a still-life painting showing a table with freshly prepared oysters, ready to be eaten; there is also an oyster fork and a sliced lemon that is intended to be squeezed over the oysters. It is a beautiful depiction of fine food and French cuisine. The original artwork was painted in 1862.
