Pio da Pietrelcina, also known as Padre Pio, born Francesco Forgione (Pietrelcina, 25 May 1887 – San Giovanni Rotondo, 23 September 1968), was an Italian priest and mystic of the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin; Beatified in 1999, he was proclaimed a saint by Pope John Paul II in 2002.
He was the recipient, while still alive, of popular veneration of impressive dimensions, also following the fame of a miracle worker attributed to him by devotees, just as he was the subject of harsh criticism even in the ecclesiastical and medical-scientific fields.

Had this made to remember two famley members who are both no longer with us
at christmass as a hanging decration for the chritmass tree.. its white porcline or cramic but very well made with added photo on one side.. also has a lovley red bag to keep it in.. execlent printed text in bold and black stands out well aganst the blue background of the photo.
