Papa Bear & Golden Hair skating CC0715 Fairytale Postcard

Fairy tale postcard inspired by a delightful illustration by American artist William Wallace Denslow (1856–1915). The picture is from the book Denslow's Three Bears (1903) and shows a big bear, probably Papa Bear, joyfully ice-skating and carrying little Golden Hair on his shoulder. The corresponding text in the book would be: The good natured bears were always anxious to please the children; they would get up games under the greenwood trees in the summer, and merry sports upon the icy lake or snowy hills in winter. They did their best to make life for all, one glad round of joy. The book is public domain (www.read.gov/books/three-bears.html), so why not read the whole story? A greeting card for everyone who likes fairy tales. It also emphasises the bond between parents and children, especially father and daughter: Daddy, come play with me!
