    The oldest lighthouse in The Bahamas, a familiar sight to anyone cruising or sailing to Nassau, and still guiding ships into safe harbour, the Paradise Island Light will be celebrating its 200th birthday in 2017. You'll still hear it called the Hog Island Light, after the old name of the barrier island. The beacon flashes white, unless sea conditions are dangerous for entering the harbour, in which case the colour changes to red.
