Party Street Rue Laval Hull Gatineau Black n White Postcard

I had some fun with this image! This is an original photograph of Laval Street in Hull (Gatineau) Quebec, Canada. There were so many interesting shapes and patterns that I put the photo into stark black and white to highlight these little delights. Across the top you can see flags strung over the street. There are also coloured lights but of course they don't come out til evening. Signs, as in street signs, are also one of my favourite topics for photography. They always have something to say! In the far back you can see a building under construction; closer in are restaurants, bars and stages for music. This street goes off to the left to Place Aubry, a neat little courtyard with more restaurants, bars and music. This is a little slice of life in Hull and I hope you enjoy it.
