Paul Cezanne - Basket of Apples Still Life Print
Reproduction art poster depicting the famous Still Life painting "Basket of Apples" by renowned French Post Impressionist artist Paul Cezanne (1839-1906). Featured in the artwork is a brown wicker fruit bowl sitting adjacent to a wine bottle and a dish of pastries over a white cloth. Within the bowl are green, yellow, and red apples. Some of which spill from the bowl to the cloth. The apples are commonly mistaken to be pears or oranges due to their color. The right side of the table is not the in the same plane as the left side. Cezanne incorporated his technique in the painting to show the differences in viewpoint. c. 1895 Style: Post Impressionism Period: Final Period Technique: Oil ~ Customizable ~ Excellent as a Housewarming gift. I like the design features on the website. They enable the fitting of a good quality Print to an existing frame.
This Print was of excellent quality. I would buy again.
One small gripe is that the image was not centred horizontally (about 3mm out) so needed trimming. No great hardship and may have been my fault in the setting-up.
Next time, I would choose to set the text below the picture to a smaller font.
Overall - Thank You! Looks good in its frame - Just as expected. I had a very expensive Gallery print of this before. It got damaged - hence the replacement. It compares very well.
