Paul McGehee "Harry S Truman" Card

An historic political note card by the award-winning artist Paul McGehee. Assuming the office of President of the United States following the death of Franklin Roosevelt in April 1945, Harry S Truman put an end to World War II within four months. A quiet man with a good sense of humour, he was also an accomplished pianist who frequently serenaded guests at the White House. Known for his no-nonsense attitude towards doing things, his desktop bore the famous sign, "the buck stops here." Paul McGehee's famous drawing of Truman is a thoughtful and energetic political portrait. Each card comes with envelope.
