Persian Carpet - Arabic art pattern, Emile Prisses d’Avennes, printed in the book La Decoration Arabe. (1885). This image is a photographic reproduction based on an antique is a richly detailed Persian rug with an intricate design. It features a bold, symmetrical pattern in the centre, utilising geometric and floral motifs. The dominant colours are deep red with accents of gold, blue, and green. The border of the rug contains a repeated floral pattern, adding an additional layer of ornate detail. The craftsmanship is evident in the complex interwoven design elements and vibrant colours.
