Pharmacy - Civil war field kit Tie

The Civil War doctos had very basic tools to deal with bad issues. Usually they would simply cut off the damaged part of your body, it was a messy process. But there was another half, and that was with medicine. These are examples of the various notions they would use to dress wounds or treat you. Those peppercorn like things in those jars, those are pills. Did they work? Who knows. They were hand made, and the dosing seems questionable as they are all different sizes, and the color varied quite a bit as well. But I guess it was better than nothing. Or is that the other way around?
