St. Agatha is invoked against breast cancer. Here, in this detail from a famous Italian Mannerist painting, her garments have been changed from cream and aqua blue to shades of pink. Pink is the internationally recognised colour symbolic of breast cancer awareness. + Adapted detail of an antique chromolithograph published between 1895 and 1907 by A. & M. B. of a painting The Martyrdom of St. Agatha, Virgin (Martirio di Sant'Agata) by Filippo Paladini (1590-1614) in the Cathedral of St. Agatha (Cattedrale di Sant'Agata or Duomo di Catania), Catania, Italy (from the designer’s private collection of religious ephemera). The original 1605 painting is located in the Chapel of St. Agatha, the fifth along the left-hand side of the cathedral's nave. + Feast: February 5 + October is breast cancer awareness month.

Amazing! Considering we were quoted £15.50 per badge by a UK company this is so beyond affordable and well worth the money. The blue of my badge was darker than the original design but it’s not something I’m disappointed in as printers have their limitations.
There is a white line across the bottom of the front of the card and the top of the back of the card but I anticipated this due to the badge being coloured blue instead of white.
Everything is so clear and readable, I honestly cannot recommend it enough
