St. Agatha is invoked against breast cancer. Here, in this detail from a famous Italian Mannerist painting, her garments have been changed from cream and aqua blue to shades of pink. Pink is the internationally recognised colour symbolic of breast cancer awareness. + Adapted detail of an antique chromolithograph published between 1895 and 1907 by A. & M. B. of a painting The Martyrdom of St. Agatha, Virgin (Martirio di Sant'Agata) by Filippo Paladini (1590-1614) in the Cathedral of St. Agatha (Cattedrale di Sant'Agata or Duomo di Catania), Catania, Italy (from the designer’s private collection of religious ephemera). The original 1605 painting is located in the Chapel of St. Agatha, the fifth along the left-hand side of the cathedral's nave. + Feast: February 5 + October is breast cancer awareness month. + Text is in very light pink (#F1D9F0).

This was a great product for an internal Awards event. Nadja R's brilliant graphic design work was mocked up digitally and then printed onto very high quality materials. I had a bespoke set of requirements and a really tight deadline and Zazzle came through. The end result was a real talking point for the Awards event and the base also not only helped with the stability, but it also looked like it had a light inside when the Show lights hit the Awards Trophies at certain angles. This turned out to be a great looking item. I found altering the design easy and the quality looked fab when all was done and finished. It matched my expectations wonderfully. The seller did a great job! The colours and font styles available were varied and I had fun tweaking them to my needs.
