Pink St. Agatha (M 003) Prayer Card

Pink St. Agatha (M 003) Prayer Card

St. Agatha is invoked against breast cancer. Here, in this detail from a famous Italian Mannerist painting, her garments have been changed from cream and light teal to shades of pink. Pink is the internationally recognized color symbolic of breast cancer awareness. + Ranging from lightest to darkest, the Pink St. Agatha palette consists of #F1D9F0, #F0CAEF, #ED9AC2, and #DB6785. For greater contrast, all text is in maroon (#96475C). + Adapted detail of an antique chromolithograph published between 1895 and 1907 by A. & M. B. of a painting The Martyrdom of St. Agatha, Virgin (Martirio di Sant'Agata) by Filippo Paladini (1590-1614) in the Cathedral of St. Agatha (Cattedrale di Sant'Agata or Duomo di Catania), Catania, Italy (from the designer’s private collection of religious ephemera). The original 1605 painting is located in the Chapel of St. Agatha, the fifth along the left-hand side of the cathedral's nave. + Feast: February 5 + October is breast cancer awareness month.

They came out great. I ordered the wrong size they were a little smaller than I would have liked but that was an error on my end. Everyone said they were beautiful. I ordered these for my Mother In Laws memorial mass. The printing was great and the image turned out perfect. Very vibrant just how we wanted. Thank you!
