Colourized photo from 1918 Original Title: Alexandria Aeroplane Factory Location: 615 N. St Asaph, Alexandria VA A little under a hundred years ago, in Alexandria, Virginia, there was a small aeroplane factory. They made these floating biplanes. While the name of the factory changed over the years, they ended being called the Berliner-Joyce aircraft company. The plan you see before you is a Model F-19 Flying boat, they nicked named it the F Boat. There might have been other reasons they called it the F boat. Presently this location is a condominium, they kept the original walls.
