Polaroid SX-70 Photo Light Painting #1 Poster

Light Painting #1 is another in a series of photo manipulations I made during the 1980's with an instant film camera. I would find a light source; Christmas lights, neon signs, fireworks etc., open the shutter and move the camera and viola we have a light painting. In this case we have as a source one of those little spinning holographic discs. Then some digital riffs off the original picture. The indistinctness of the images along with the bright colours against the black background gave me the idea to call them photo noirs. My name is Mike Beyer and I'm an image collector, stationary and in motion. During the late 1970's & 80's I took thousands of these instant photos. There are a few hundred left and I've been converting the images into digital bits. Now I'm turning them into posters, post cards and other items here on Zazzle.
