In fact, a Pomeranian lay beside the Queen at her death. This breed can also be called: Deutscher Zwergspitz, Toy German Spitz and Zwers. Famous Pomeranians include one that Michaelangelo took with him while he painted the Sistine Chapel and Thomas Edison had one that spilt ink on his important papers which contained over 20 years of research. The Pomeranian is part of the AKC Toy Group.
