Portrait Of A Noble Lady by Austrian Painter Franz Seraph Russ (1844 - 1906), son of portrait painter Franz Russ (Franz Russ The Elder); who was also known as Franz Russ the Younger or Franz Russ II This is a colourful and a fanciful portrait of a noble lady in a garden posing in front of a large column that rest on an even larger pedestal ledge in the period costume of the time. She is wearing a large red hat with bushy feathers that adorn the front of it along with some red roses and holds a similar collection of feathers in her right hand. Her dress is gold and deep rose in colour accented by large flared white lapels that highlight the multi string pearl necklace that terminates with a large ruby at the centre that match the pearl earrings she is wearing. On the lower portion of her dress we can see another large jewel and a large belt of jewels that fluffs up the deep rose skirt that completes her dress.
