Portrait of Doctor Gachet by Vincent van Gogh is a vintage fine art post impressionism daily life portrait painting, it is one of two portraits of Doctor Paul-Ferdinand Gachet; a French physician most famous for treating the painter Vincent van Gogh during his last weeks in Auvers-sur-Oise in the south of France. The gentleman is resting his right elbow on a red table with his head in his hand, he is alsoholding some flowers, a purple medicinal herb known as foxglove or digitalis. About the artist: Vincent Willem van Gogh was a Post Impressionist painter whose work was most noteable for its rough beauty, emotional honesty, and bold colour.

Really nice image fixed to the tiles in my shower as a background to a soap dish. This was to hide the marks left by a broken soap dish. Just used tile adhesive and white grout. I think it looks good, almost like the drips are falling from the soap dish. No probs. Nice image.
