Portrait of Friederike Maria Beer (1916) by Gustav Klimt is a vintage Victorian Era Symbolism fine art portrait painting. Friederike-Maria requested that Klimt paint her in a Viennese Workshop dress which she wore exclusively. Klimt decided that she should wear her fur coat inside out so that the decorative lining (also by the Viennese Workshop) was visible. Klimt made use of an oriental screen as the backdrop featuring scenes of figures fighting on horseback, they are taken from a Korean vase owned by Klimt and are a reference to World War I.
About the artist:
Gustav Klimt (1862-1918) was an Austrian Symbolist painter and one of the most prominent members of the Vienna Art Nouveau movement.

The cushion is small to medium sized. It can be washed. It is well constructed. The material used is pleasant and feels decent quality. It has a very slight plush feel which is good. It is well labelled and its care clearly stated. Theres nothing not to like about it. All in all a good item. The deduction of one star overall is due to long delays in delivery to the UK. It's not clear if this was due to Zazzle or somewhere else in the chain as I did not receive status updates of dispatch or progress. I cannot comment anymore on that other than to say that was our experience but it may not be the same for you. The printing was surprisingly close to what we were expecting. Its an art piece and on material so its hard to assess the precision of printing but it seems close to the original. The soft lines are reproductions of the original. The colour is a fair reflection of the painting. This was printed in the US and it looks like US quality. No issues.
