Tagus river - or rio Tejo- is navigated by cargo ships, sailing boats, cruise ships and the ferries that connect the other margin and Lisbon. The Lisbon old orange ferries are called cacilheiros. This type of ferry is called “cacilheiro” because it connects Lisbon to Cacilhas (Almada) on the south side of the river.
