With no hotels or holiday complexes close by, Praia do Carvalho is an ideal beach for those looking to get away from the bustling beaches that are closer to the main resorts on the Algarve. There are two ways to get down to the beach, from one side it is via some steep steps that have been cut out of the rocks that surround the beach and is rather difficult and the other side through a tunnel cut through the rocks.
