Colourful Mediaeval miniatures from 1200 .The female figure illustrated with equestrian armorial of the Golden Fleece (Toison D'or ) Preuse Penthesileia was an Amazonian queen in Greek mythology, In the late fourteenth century, Lady Worthies began to accompany the Nine Worthies, though usually not individualised and shown as anonymous Amazon-styled warriors. In later years, nine of the "Most Illustrious Ladies of All Ages and Nations" were chosen from scripture, history and legend to be placed along side their male counterparts, though the choices for the Lady Worthies were not standardised and often varied by region, author and artist.

I really liked this product, the picture is lovely and the colours are really nice. I wanted it to up-cycle a writing bureau and I was concerned that the paper may be too thin. But it wasn't and it worked fine. On the pictures I have uploaded the print looks a bit aged and not so vivid and new looking. As I wanted an aged patina but the actual print is clearer and the colours are brighter. The colour and prints are good.
