This beautiful canvas wall art has my hand drawn and coloured picture of an old fashioned purple Bearded Iris. The yellow fuzzy stamens that line the petals are what gives them the distinction of being "bearded". The old nickname for this flower was Flag. Irises come in many different varieties and colours, but the purple one is the most common. The botanical name for Iris is Germanica which means Rainbow.
