Pin was much smaller than expected, but it didn't appear gaudy when worn. It is colorful and I believe the girl liked the pin, but being so small, the words are a bit hard to read. I didn't have anything printed on the pin. The pin had printing already on it, and it was a bit small and hard to read, but I didn't have anything put on.
