Rainbow Sun A Instant Film Photo Manipulation Poster

Rainbow Sun is another in a series of photo manipulations I made during the 1980's with an instant film camera. Can't tell you which one because it would violate their intellectual property rights, I kid you not. Anyway I would find a light source; Christmas lights, neon signs, fireworks etc., open the shutter and move the camera and viola we have a light painting. The indistinctness of the images along with the bright colours against the black background gave me the idea to call them photo noirs. My name is Mike Beyer and I'm an image collector, stationary and in motion. During the late 1970's & 80's I took thousands of these instant photos. There are a few hundred left and I've been converting the images into digital bits. Now I'm turning them into posters, post cards and other items here on Zazzle.
