Repro 1900 Villeroy+Boch Purple Majolica Mermaid Tile
A rare purple majolica tile by Villeroy & Boch from 120 years ago. This "Queen of Sea Gods" mermaid tile was also made in other colors, but the purple is hardest to find. Although the original is dimensional, this one is printed flat in a trompe l'oeil (fool the eye) style.

Really nice image fixed to the tiles in my shower as a background to a soap dish. This was to hide the marks left by a broken soap dish. Just used tile adhesive and white grout. I think it looks good, almost like the drips are falling from the soap dish. No probs. Nice image.
