Repro Bright Handpainted De Morgan Rose & Trellis Tile

William De Morgan (1839-1917) was an important Arts & Crafts movement artist and was the head of tile production at William Morris's studio. His work was influenced by Medieval, Persian, and Islamic art and featured stylized flora and fauna from both life and fantasy. This is an early "Rose & Trellis" hand painted tile in brilliant colors of purple, turquoise, and greens, mauvey dusty rose, and greens.

Really nice image fixed to the tiles in my shower as a background to a soap dish. This was to hide the marks left by a broken soap dish. Just used tile adhesive and white grout. I think it looks good, almost like the drips are falling from the soap dish. No probs. Nice image.
