The actual line is “Nothing pays off like restraint of tongue and pen” from page 91 of the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions as they talk about Step 10: “Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it.” These days, it’s wise to add keyboard to tongue and pen to keep us from sending that accusatory email we can’t take back. This card helps you to hold your tongue by securing it in place with the pen you can no longer use. Notice that the ink is green – the colour of jealousy and envy. A great gift for your trudging buddy, or a nasty hint for someone who should shut their trap. Card is blank inside. Restrain your pen and just write "Love… me."
