RETRO SPACE AGE (DOG ASTRONAUTS) T-Shirt

A funky T-Shirt, with a Vintage Space Age commemorative Soviet envelope, featuring Belka and Strelka, "Day of Cosmonautics", Kharkov 1963. The two astronaut dogs, Belka and Strelka, spent a day in space aboard Korabl-Sputnik-2 (Sputnik 5) on August 19th 1960, before safely returning to Earth. They were accompanied by a grey rabbit, 42 mice, 2 rats, flies and a number of plants and fungi. All passengers survived. They were the first Earth-born creatures to go into orbit and return alive.

Print looks very good, vibrant colours, washing very well, too. I don't tumble dry tshirts so can't comment on that. Lovely idea for a birthday child!
