It is a flat reproduction of a beautiful three-layered sardonyx cameo from ancient Roman Empire (now in the public domain), representing emperor Octavian Augustus, seen from profile, wearing a laurel wreath, with a scepter representing an eagle in his hand. It was reused in the Middle Age, put in the center of the Cross of Lothar, in the 10th century. Recommended as a gift for a lover of ancient Rome or someone named Augustus or Octavian.
The hours are indicated by golden roman numerals, inside a black circle with golden border around the cameo..
