Rosie The Riveter Invitation

Rosie The Riveter Invitation

J. Howard Miller We Can Do It, commonly referred to as Rosie the Riveter Case In 1942, Pittsburgh artist J. Howard Miller was hired by the Westinghouse Company’s War Production Coordinating Committee to create a series of posters for the war effort. One of these posters became the famous “We Can Do It!” image. An image that in later years would also become “Rosie the Riveter”, though this was not intended at its creation. Miller based his “We Can Do It!” on a United Press photograph taken of Lansing, Michigan, factory worker Geraldine Doyle. Its intent was to help recruit women to join the work force. At the time of the ’s release the name “Rosie” was not associated with the image. In the early 1980s, the Miller was rediscovered and became famous as Rosie The Riveter

Clear printing, good quality card and envelopes. Very happy with my son's birthday celebration invites. Clear printing, good colour writing and the small pictures are very clear too.

Very pretty and it's smaller than I thought it would be but overall cute and well made. Got many compliments from the guests who received it. The print was clear and like the pic on the site. I also like how you can fix the word sizing to fit on the card and also can write in your own text. My fiancé loved how the invite turned out, he was very happy.
