Rossetti Venus Verticordia CC0704 Card

Greeting card inspired by a painting by Dante Gabriel Rossetti (Venus Verticordia, c. 1868). The title, 'Venus, turner of hearts', derives from Latin literature, where it designates the role of Venus, goddess of love and beauty, in turning women's hearts towards virtue. Rossetti, however, interpreted it in the opposite sense, to mean turning men's hearts away from fidelity. You can customise the texts on the card, simply by typing over the example text underneath the 'Edit this design template' heading.
