Route 66 Vintage Sign Gifts Mug
Route 66 coffee mug featuring the famous Route 66 highway road sign. once was THE major automobile artery of America from the Los Angeles area through Winslow, Arizona; Santa Fe and Albuquerque, New Mexico; Amarillo, Texas; and on to Chicago, Illinois. Some of these cities enjoyed a resurgence in popularity when they were mentioned in songs: "Take It Easy" -a 1970's hit by the rock and roll band The Eagles - had the lyrics of "Standing on a Corner in Winslow, Arizona..." while country music star George Strait sang about working the rodeo circuit in "Amarillo by Morning." Accompanying the highway road marker is a map of the U.S.A. showing the actual route and marking both Winslow and Amarillo, as well as the starting and stopping points.
