S. Philomena the Thaumaturgist Poster

S. Philomena the Thaumaturgist Poster

A 13-year-old girl, the daughter of Greek royalty and a consecrated virgin, S. Philomena died for her beliefs and her purity after spurning the advances of a pagan Roman emperor. Her story was all but forgotten for 1,499 years until her relics were uncovered in the Roman catacombs of Priscilla in 1803 and later enshrined at Mugnano del Cardinale in the Campagna, where they are credited with a wealth of miraculous cures. Among her devotees were the great confessor St. John Vianney, Venerable Pauline Jaricot, and the popes Gregory XVI, Pius X and Leo XIII, who declared her the "Thaumaturgist of the Nineteenth Century," in tribute to her miracles. To this day, her votaries can be found all over the world. She is a patron saint of children, priests, lost causes and the Children of Mary.

I like the design features on the website. They enable the fitting of a good quality Print to an existing frame. This Print was of excellent quality. I would buy again. One small gripe is that the image was not centred horizontally (about 3mm out) so needed trimming. No great hardship and may have been my fault in the setting-up. Next time, I would choose to set the text below the picture to a smaller font. Overall - Thank You! Looks good in its frame - Just as expected. I had a very expensive Gallery print of this before. It got damaged - hence the replacement. It compares very well.
