Saint Dominic Savio Young Disciple of Don Bosco Poster

Saint Dominic Savio Young Disciple of Don Bosco Poster

A pure and uplifting portrayal of Saint Dominic Savio (1842–1857), the young Italian student of Saint John Bosco whose short life became a radiant example of innocence, charity, and spiritual maturity. According to Wikipedia, Dominic was born on 2 April 1842 in Riva presso Chieri and died at only 14 years old on 9 March 1857, likely from a lung illness. Informazione Cattolica highlights his early devotion: serving Mass at age five, praying outdoors in rain or snow, and receiving First Communion at just seven years old, unusually early for the time. His encounter with Don Bosco in 1854 transformed his life. As Salesiani Don Bosco Lecce notes, Dominic embraced a path of holiness marked by joy, kindness, and service, eventually founding the Company of the Immaculate, a small group dedicated to charity and good example. Uniti nel Dono describes him as “the youngest saint in the history of the Church,” venerated as a protector of children, pregnant women, altar servers, and choirboys. He was beatified in 1950 and canonized in 1954 by Pope Pius XII. Ideal for devotional art, youth ministry materials, educational designs, and inspirational Christian imagery.

I like the design features on the website. They enable the fitting of a good quality Print to an existing frame. This Print was of excellent quality. I would buy again. One small gripe is that the image was not centred horizontally (about 3mm out) so needed trimming. No great hardship and may have been my fault in the setting-up. Next time, I would choose to set the text below the picture to a smaller font. Overall - Thank You! Looks good in its frame - Just as expected. I had a very expensive Gallery print of this before. It got damaged - hence the replacement. It compares very well.
