Sainte Jeanne d'Arc by Paul de La Boulaye Poster
Sainte Jeanne d'Arc c1909 by French Painter Paul Antoine De La Boulaye (1849 - 1926); specialised in creating peasant genre scenes, religious inspired artwork, still life imagery, portraits and depictions of exotic women.
This is another version of Sainte Jeanne d'Arc that Paul Boulaye did in 1909, which differs from the more tranquil meditative version; showing her with a distraught look on her face as she draws her sword from its scabbard.
She seems to be in a hall standing by a large pedestal with a large column on top; wearing a red uniform which is embossed with golden floral patterns on the sleeves and a matching red cap with a grey cloak draped over her left forearm.
She is looking over her right shoulder off into the distance as if danger is approaching her, as she tightly grabs the handle of her sword with her right hand as she lifts it out of its scabbard that she is tightly gripping with her left hand.

I like the design features on the website. They enable the fitting of a good quality Print to an existing frame.
This Print was of excellent quality. I would buy again.
One small gripe is that the image was not centred horizontally (about 3mm out) so needed trimming. No great hardship and may have been my fault in the setting-up.
Next time, I would choose to set the text below the picture to a smaller font.
Overall - Thank You! Looks good in its frame - Just as expected. I had a very expensive Gallery print of this before. It got damaged - hence the replacement. It compares very well.
