Salvator Mundi Fine Art Poster Print
Salvator Mundi Fine Art Poster Print ... High Renaissance artist Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519) ... Salvator Mundi ... c 1500 (c 1499-1510) ... Leonardo da Vinci painted Jesus Christ, Saviour of the World, as Leonardo imagined Christ appearing to him out of darkness. Very high resolution ... original file 3300 x 4856 pixels = 9.33 MB.
Original dimensions: height: 65.6 cm (25.8 in); width: 45.4 cm (17.8 in). The painting was sold at Christie's New York, November 15, 2017, for $450.3 million, making it the most expensive painting ever sold.
Leonardo da Vinci's patrons included French Kings Louis XII and Francis I. Francis I famously provided Leonardo da Vinci a home: the 15th century Chateau du Clos Lucé where Leonardo lived, has been wonderfully restored. It looks just as it did when he arrived, aged 63, in 1516 at the invitation of King Francis I of France ... adjacent to his palace ... Clos Lucé is 500 metres from the royal Château d'Amboise, to which it is connected by an underground passageway so the king could privately visit Leonardo da Vinci who lived there with his close friend and caretaker Francesco Melzi, or Francesco de Melzi (1491–1570). During this time, Francis I of France was Leonardo's patron, and the French court account books logged Leonardo's annual payment was 1000 gold crowns (écus de soleil), while Francesco Melzi received 400.
"Henrietta Maria (French: Henriette Marie; 25 November 1609 – 10 September 1669) was Queen of England, Scotland, and Ireland from her marriage to King Charles I on 13 June 1625 until Charles was executed on 30 January 1649. She was mother of his sons Charles II and James II and VII"
"The Salvator Mundi was also recorded in Henrietta Maria's possession in 1649, the same year her husband Charles I was executed, on 30 January. The painting was included in an inventory of the Royal Collection, valued at £30, and Charles's possessions were put up for sale under the English Commonwealth. The painting was sold to a creditor in 1651, returned to Charles II after the English Restoration in 1660, and included in an inventory of Charles's possessions at the Palace of Whitehall in 1666. It was inherited by James II."
This is the original image of the painting after its remarkable restoration.

I like the design features on the website. They enable the fitting of a good quality Print to an existing frame.
This Print was of excellent quality. I would buy again.
One small gripe is that the image was not centred horizontally (about 3mm out) so needed trimming. No great hardship and may have been my fault in the setting-up.
Next time, I would choose to set the text below the picture to a smaller font.
Overall - Thank You! Looks good in its frame - Just as expected. I had a very expensive Gallery print of this before. It got damaged - hence the replacement. It compares very well.
