Santo Karadanogi Watch
[Mitsuto Uchiwa] Uchiwa-mon (fan-shaped crest). Mitsukara Uchiwa is also called 'Mitsukara Uchiwa,' but here it is called 'Monten.' Also, in "Nihon no Monsho" edited by Kosaku ITO, it is called Gunbaidansen-mon and is separate from Uchiwa-mon. One person, Todansen. It is made of awashiro or washi (Japanese paper) and lacquered, and it is also made of iron or leather. It was introduced from China. It was a command used by a busho in the Sengoku period in a field battle. This kind of Uchiwa is depicted in picture scrolls such as annual events and Kamo Festival. Because it was owned by the god of war, Marishiten, believers used it to stand in front of the helmet. (Written by Kosaku ITO, "The Emblem of Japan")
