Save the Orangutans Mini Tote Bag
You can help to save the orangutans with this purchase. artist is an active member and volunteer with Orangutan Foundation International, and 100% of her profits from this item are donated right into the funds to support OFI's work.
In addition to the 350 young orphans at OFI's care centre, OFI plants trees to restore destroyed areas of the rainforest, rescues orangutans, maintains feeding stations for orangutans being reintroduced into the wild, and works to educate people about the importance of natural resources.
Information about my photo on the tote: This mother orangutan, whose name is Akmad, was rescued by O.F.I in the early 1970' s and has blessed the rain forest with several babies born in the wild such as her latest son, shown here at Camp Leakey in Kalimantan, Indonesian Borneo.
Akmad and Dr. Birute Mary Galdikas appeared on the cover of National Geographic magazine in October 1975. In my photo here, the blue behind Akmad's shoulder is a door on a Camp Leakey building.

A wonderful bag of very sturdy, enduring material and good quality. It can carry a lot of weight without the seams tearing. The bag is a little larger than I expected, but I am utterly pleased with how it turned out, nevertheless. The black ink seems to be "soaked" into the fabric rather than being just printed "on top" of it. That means that the print can not simply be rubbed off, and I hope that - should I need to wash the bag - it will withstand the strain. The colour is (due to being "soaked" into the material) not quite pitch-black and shiny, but that is a fact that does not trouble me overmuch.

I bought this for my great granddaughter who is only 1 1/2 years old. Her mom has a diaper bag, but little Avery has stuff too. I put a nice book in the bag to get her started.
LOVED IT. The printing was fine, just as I wanted. I was able to crop the photo and add the background color.
