This design features a painting by Arthur Hacker (1858–1919). It shows a young boy with his hands clasped together in prayer as he says grace. He is seated at a table saying grace before he begins to eat his food. He has a meagre ration of fruit and bread, but he is grateful for what he is about to eat. The original artwork was painted circa 1911.
