Scenic Scottish Agnew Clan’s Lochnaw Castle Jigsaw Puzzle

Lochnaw Castle, longtime home of the Scottish Agnew clan, was sold out of the family near the end of the 20th century and is a private residence. The Agnews received a “royal castle” around 1363, which was located on an island in Loch Lochnaw .After it was destroyed, the current stone structure was constructed overlooking the loch. A plaque with 1486 is mounted on the keep. The stages of construction were the keep, about the 16th century, domestic dwellings in the 17th and 18th centuries and a mansion house, which has since been destroyed. Lochnaw Castle is located in Wigtownshire County near the towns of Stranraer, Dumfries and Galloway.
