Scottish Terrier Maxwell Tartan Mini Tote Bag

Maxwell, or 'Maccus's Well', is a pool or part of the River Tweed in Scotland. Sir John Maxwell was Chamberlain of Scotland in the 1200s and from his sons sprang many branches of the family. Here is a Scottie in the Maxwell tartan plaid, created from my original artwork and available on clothing, novelty and gift items.

A wonderful bag of very sturdy, enduring material and good quality. It can carry a lot of weight without the seams tearing. The bag is a little larger than I expected, but I am utterly pleased with how it turned out, nevertheless. The black ink seems to be "soaked" into the fabric rather than being just printed "on top" of it. That means that the print can not simply be rubbed off, and I hope that - should I need to wash the bag - it will withstand the strain. The colour is (due to being "soaked" into the material) not quite pitch-black and shiny, but that is a fact that does not trouble me overmuch.
