Seated Man Lost in Thought at the Table Playing Cards

This design features a painting by the artist Elin Danielson-Gambogi (1861–1919). It shows a young man who is smoking a cigarette and drinking from a bottle of wine on the table. He appears to be deep in thought, thinking about his own life and about other issues that are concerning him. It is a beautiful image of manhood and masculinity. The original artwork was produced in 1886, and it is now housed in the Finnish National Gallery, which is based in Helsinki, the capital city of Finland.
