About the artist: Tiziano Vecelli or Tiziano Vecellio (1488/1490-1576) better known as Titian was an Italian painter and a leader of 16th century Venetian school of the Italian Renaissance. He was born in Pieve di Cadore and was often called Da Cadore, taken from the place of his birth.
