Selkies' Skins Holiday Postcard

This card features a scene from the storyline of the serial webnovel "Selkies' Skins" copyright to Teresa Garcia. Until December 1st 2012, Teresa is running a Kickstarter campaign to help generate fund to transform the webseries into a print and ebook novel. The base image was created as a result of the Kickstarter. A selkie is a type of merperson that is a shapeshifter. Normally they appear as seals, but can take their skins off to appear as humans (usually on dry land). In Selkies' Skins there is an in between form as well, more analogous to the more well known merfolk... and breeds that always present that way. Featured here is the halfblood selkie Kirsty Makay, after she has won her own sealskin, granting her the ability to become a seal. We see from the point of view of David, a human who she raises her flipper to greet, and to wish all of you Happy Holidays.
