Shimanami Kaido and Neko T-Shirt

Kirosan is a mountain located in the southern part of Oshima Island in the middle of the Seto Inland Sea. It is also called Ookiyama or Sumigatake. Height above sea level: 307m The administrative district is Yoshiumi-cho, Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture. On the top of the mountain, there is an observation deck which takes into account the landscape, from which you can view the islands of the Kurushima Strait and the Geiyo Islands in the west and north, the Hiuchi-nada Sea in the east, and the Imabari-ko Port and the Imabari-shi Town in the south. In the past, the road to the top of the mountain was narrow, but the road was improved with the construction of a tourist destination ahead of the opening of the Setouchi-Shimanami Kaido Road in 1999, and parking lots were set up near the top of the mountain to improve the access and the number of visitors has increased. It is included in the Seto Inland Sea National Park. Especially, the view of the sunset in Setouchi, which looks down on the Kurushima Strait, is often used for sightseeing PR photographs. A small settlement is formed in the north and the west, but the south and the east have the coast adjacent to the Kurushima Strait. Yayoi-style earthenware was excavated from various places in the mountain, suggesting that it was a key point of maritime traffic since ancient times. There is a hokyointo pagoda in the late Kamakura period style on its middle, which is said to be the tomb of Yoshihiro MURAKAMI.
